If you have very specific woodworking needs or taking classes doesn’t fit your schedule, private instruction with Jerry Konicek may be perfect for you. Learn techniques the right way. Focus only on the information you want. Study at your own pace. Save time by working more efficiently and effectively. Known for his bailout successes, Jerry can help complete unfinished projects. Since Jerry no longer has his own shop space private lessons will need to take place in your shop or home location.

Hello! I'm Jerry Konicek, the Director of the Woodworker Academy, the premier San Francisco Bay Area Woodworking school. Recently, the Academy was closed to focus attention on other career choices. I'm still available to help you with your woodworking projects.

With over 38 years of experience teaching woodworking, I've instructed several thousand inexperienced and professional woodworkers. I can provide assistance in setting up a woodworking shop, tuning powertools/handtools, or showing you how to mill wood correctly and safely.

If you are in need of completing that special project or have questions about which tools to buy, how to set them up and use them properly, consider professional assistance. You'll find that I'm a patient, knowledgeable teacher and will work to help you achieve success.

Fees:

4 hr minimum + $200 + $50/hr for each additional hour. More time is available in 1/4 hr increments, rounded up at quitting time. Round trip travel fee = $ .55/mile. Each additional person = $25/hr. Registration is prepaid and subject to my cancellation policy. Please call for details.
